Turn Utah Into a Renewable Energy Leader

One prospect that I’m particularly excited about moving forward is lobbying for the allocation of funds for the research and development of clean energy technologies in Utah. The energy crisis we currently find ourselves in is not the first time America has been backed into a corner. We need to rely on American innovation and the ability to invent to help break our dependence on fossil fuels and foreign oil and finally take the necessary steps to move into the 21st century. 

Utah is the perfect state for clean energy development! This is especially critical given the unique layout of the Wasatch Front and its ability to trap pollution. With the strides made in clean, zero-carbon emission technologies, I believe we are this close to finding the next big breakthrough to meet our energy needs in America. We are already on the cusp of discovering clean, alternative fuel sources for cars, and can continue to perfect existing clean energy sources to power Utah’s cities. Investing in clean energy for Utah would bring exciting new jobs and would also begin the large-scale process of finally cleaning the air quality along the Wasatch Front. 

With the right leadership, we have the potential to be a hub of a new type of technological explosion in America with technologies that could solve the planet’s current energy crisis. I want to be that leader for Utah!
